Tips for your photo shoot!

What to wear

Please wear clothing that makes you look and feel your best! However there is some rules to ensure that your photos turn out well.

  •  Avoid overly bright colours and shiny materials as these do not photograph well and can often limit our editing abilities.

  • If you're having a family shoot, be sure to all wear complimentary colours to avoid clashing!

  • When in doubt - wear white or neutral colours!

We encourage our clients to dress the way they want their images styled. We support all styles and will work with you to achieve your desired vision.

For example:

  • Country - wear your denims, boots and hat!

  • Glamour - wear that long formal dress and style your hair and makeup to match.

  • Casual - dress comfortably, but consider going with neutral colours and please avoid striking patterns as these cause unnecessary distractions in the final images.

Everyone’s style and body is different and you’ll want to look your best in the images that you are investing in!

If you have any questions I’m happy to help and offer advice!

How to prepare your animals

Prepare your animals as best you can! We want your horses to look as healthy as possible in your images, and we are sure you do too! After all, this is an investment!

Ensure that your animals are clean and well groomed, including hoof care. We wouldn't get professional pictures done if our nails were in terrible condition - so neither should our horses!

If you are planning on a professional Mock Competition / Ridden Shoot consider cleaning your tack! This will improve the outcome of your photos immensely!
